On the weekend of February 9th / 10th my local dive shop (Colt
Creek) conducted and Ice Diving trip to Kirkfield Quarry in Kirkfield, Ontario.
Our course was conducted during the week at the shop then off we went to
Kirkfield for a little practical experience. The weather on Saturday was
zero degrees Celsius with light snow. Sunday was a different story with
the temperature plummeting to minus nine and high winds. Our suits
practically froze on us when we emerged from the water.
